SHOLA DOUMMAR

sholaThe Arts Club of Montréal is assocaiation with poet singer, composer Shola Doummar.

Born Egyptian father and Italian mother, Shola and her sisters arrive in Canada while it is still a child. The family environment enables it to develop a curious mind and life flows slowly, foreseeably - studies, marriage and the birth of his two children, Richard, and Cristina.

Then it's rude awakening, the breakdown of the marriage and the loss of some hardware security. This is the turning point. Shola undertakes a process of personal growth to come closer to this conscious being living in it.

This spirituality becomes the cornerstone of his life. It finds itself a natural empathy and an ability to reach and accompany those who live an emotional conflict.

LYRICS AND MUSIC

The passion for music is evident during this period of research. Shola meet as well as poorly to the needs of his family and learned to play the guitar itself. Instead of singing the words of others, Shola composed his own songs. A language is not enough him, also composed it in French, English and Italian: three languages has always been part of his life.

It is at this time she hears the call of the sea and discovered a passion for the dolphins. Swim with them in the ocean, and permeates their mysterious songs. This music the never leaves.

SING

Shola wants to sing before an audience, but his fear and lack of confidence... they keep momentum until she accepts to sing before a small group of friends that react as if his songs were an intimate mirror, as if this music had been composed for them alone. It happens the word and experience is renewed.

In the meetings, the audience grows. Singing, it laughs, we cry: nobody remains indifferent. Shola is happy to sing but we press on all sides must register.

Hear Shola sing is a privilege, an experience which hantera you. His music long lift to the depths of your soul and as life itself, this music you recalled that life is what it does and not what others would that be done... Wayne Reid
