| ARTISTIC STATEMENT |
| My name is Nick Bogdanos. I am a Greek-Canadian, born and raised in Montreal. I have always been drawing and painting since a very young age. I am mostly self-taught but I have and still am taking numerous art courses at the CEGEP, University and municipal levels. My portfolio is quite varied from cartoon drawings to watercolors. My subject matter range from wildlife to scenery to children illustrations. I have experimented with different media such as oils, pastels, markers and charcoal but my favorites at this moment are watercolors, pencils and pen and ink.
I have participated in many juried exhibitions and have exhibited at many places including the Arts Club in Montreal, the library and Community Centre of Saint-Laurent, the annual Art Auction of The Shield of Athena at the Hellenic Community Centre of Montreal as well at the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, U.S.A., just to name a few. I was Treasurer and Vice President of the Saint-Laurent Artists’ Association and on the council of the Arts Club for many years. Presently, I am the President since 2003 of the Saint-Laurent Artists’ Association. |
