ARTISTIC STATEMENT
Born in Montreal, I have always been attracted to sculpture, writing and literature.

My life story evolves around my passions, although life itself has managed many unforeseeable events that pushed me away from my passions, I have still managed to keep track off what really matters.

I'm self-employed and prefer manual labor. Owner of a blacksmith shop, I incorporate an artistic touch to my work. Member of several associations of craft, I participate, and I organize several exhibitions. I had combined the trades of blacksmith and sculpture into a full-time antique dealer. One of the few in Quebec that can revive a damaged sculpture.

Now that I'm retired, writing occupies most of my time. Owner of an isolated cottage, I have rediscovered the roots that triggered the inspiration of sculptures. Influenced by human nature, who lives, manipulates, weakens and destroyers earth environment, my work projects a tragic scenery of humor and sadness. My work shows the passage of man's incessant struggle against the land. I try to put it back where it belongs. Basically, I create the consequences of our unconscious, the approach of chaos and hope for a better future.

My favorite subject, is nature itself. I connect spiritually with the forces of nature, and I let myself be guided by it. I avoid those that only serve to hide the purity of this earth. My carvings are made of basswood that had ended life without the intervention of man.
