| ARTISTIC STATEMENT |
| Ever since an early age I am fascinated by the magic expressed through mediums of art, expressing magnificently nature's humane elements throughout the history of mankind. Having a creative mother and an insightful father planting the first seeds of life, grew up questioning. Often most resolutions offered by educators who were unable to see, touch, hear, smell, taste or love. Very often, living in a world created by books or music offered by time travelling curious encounters. In time, I studied painting, sculpting, acting, designing, fashion and writing via schools or self-taught. Growing urge since youth to experience life by the means of art through Europe to settle in Montreal. Since school, exposed artworks individually and participated in group exhibitions, also organized and performed on school and public stages ail while searching answers to satisfy my numerous questions. Exposing seven years in seventies & eighties in my fashion studio and art gallery Tarika, in Montreal, where I also exposed international sculptors & painters, and presented Couture Hovig fashion shows. After years working in fashion industry while painting, writing, exposing and dreaming an old dream was realized, since August 24th year 2006, by opening a second art gallery Hovig/studio in Montréal. To hopefully live fascinating life expériences through magic of art that I admired throughout my life. To share a future chapter of new life with friends & hope to encounter time traveling, curious friends. "All through life, I was touched by time traveling masters but mostly by a child's innocent laughter." |
