Francine Laurin was born at St. Scholastica. She studied arts at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, and exhibits her paintings in Quebec City, Montreal and Europe. She has long studied Native American traditions and draws her inspiration from it. Fascinated by the spiritual core of these people, which comes from the earth and harmony of nature, she created a tale of Native American through a book called Yumni.
