Unlike many artists I started to paint only 11 years ago in 1996. When I look back at some of my earlier works I feel I have learned a lot since then. I attend regular workshops on Saturdays and also paint in my home. All of my paintings are works in progress. I like to let my paintings take a life of their own.
I work mainly with oil and have participated in numerous exhibits over the years including "Le Rendez-Vous Montréalais des Arts Visuels". I look forward to participating in many more exhibitions in the future.
Besides studying painting at the Centre des loisirs in Ville Saint-Laurent with Maurice D'Amour, I am also a regular member in the painter meet up group which is a relatively new group that meets once a month to discuss art and attend various shows in and around Montreal.
I would like to make painting and art take a more positive role in my life and if I have the chance to exhibit my work and meet more artists in the process that would be great. |
